STRUGGLE

Both Sanjay and Shobha were sitting near the river banks and were thinking of what Daksha had said. His voice was echoing in their minds and they were disturbed. Kaminibai along with some Vaasi's was preparing dinner and saw her children sitting away like this. She gave them their time to recover as they couldn't handle what they heard. The Vaasi's who were loyal enough in the journey were sent back by Kaminibai, yet three of them stayed.

As the food was ready, Kaminibai went to her children sat by their side and asked, " Aren't you both hungry? I have cooked your favourite fish today." "Is it really going to happen whatever he said AAI?" asked Shobha. "Don't you worry baby tai, these all are just fooling us so that we get distracted." assured Sanjay. Hearing that Kaminibai smiled, pulled her daughter in her arms and said, " Life is not about thinking of your future, it's about achieving and living in present. Fight against all the odds and live with it. No one can be happy forever. Learn to handle things the way life gives you." Shobha nodded with a smile and got up to have food. She simultaneously pulled Sanjay and ran away. The child in them was just acting out but that child soon became a warrior again. As they reached the spot, they saw the Vaasi's were out dead.

Kaminibai reached for her sword and so did Sanjay and Shobha. All of them stood in a stance as such that they could kill in a 360 deg angle. with their killing angle of 120 deg each. Sanjay sensed a bow coming its way through the jungle and was ready to cut it down. He concentrated in such a manner that he could sense its speed and as the bow penetrated through the dark jungle reaching Sanjay his fast protecting reflexes perfectly sliced the bow. But this was not the end. The enemy showered with bows and all of them were defending it perfectly enough. As they knew this was not working they soon started to come out from the dark and started the sword fight. In between the fights, the Tactics were well caught by Kaminibai and shouted," Why are you attacking us Shirke? Its your men who are dying and not us you fool." "Stop everybody" Shouted Ganpatrao Shirke to his men. "Shame on you, you could not kill these three Gaura's. How are you going to get Shantaram?" asked Shirke. To this Kaminibai replied,"SHIRKE! THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK YOU COWARD. ORELSE YOUR NAME WILL ONLY BE TAKEN IN HISTORY YOU SCOUNDREL. Why are you doing this? Who gave you the bribe to get us you Son of." "SHUT UP! Mind your language your highness, this type of behaviour doesn't set an example like you people think you do. Your brother-in-laws are such a dogs. They gave us an offer to let go of their half of the kingdom to me if I vanish the family of Shantaram Gaura. And then announce that while running through this jungle you people could not sustain and eventually went to your favourite God, THE MAHADEO. "Its still not here Shirke." a stern voice that made the Shirkes worried and horrified as they knew who he was. Ganpatrao turned towards him shivering "Shantaram?"

Kaminibai along with Sanjay & Shobha ran towards the man of the family with a slight happiness rolling down their eyes standing besides him with their swords straight and ready to cut down every single one of them touching it. "Its been a long time I got my hands on the sword. Tell your men don't disappoint me." saying this the Gaura's ran towards the Shirkes with full force. Even if the Gaura's were outnumbered but this family can never be. The slaughtering started and Shantaram was all in action as if the Rudra avatar was his name. He gave no chance to others and was racing down to Ganpatrao slicing the other Shirkes as if they were just a piece of fruit present in the jungle. Ganpatrao thought he had too many people to keep the Gaura's busy so that he could elope, but he forgot that for Shantaram its never enough. Soon the army was slaughtered by the Gaura's and it was now time for Ganpatrao. He was running with his life at stake even though he knew that he was not going to make it. Soon Ganpatrao saw a village nearby and was heading towards it. But before he could make it, Shantaram threw his Shastra of Axe that stab him through, and his body just dropped on the boundary. The villagers got terrified and came out to ask him about the situation, but he was already gone. The village Mukhya saw in the jungle and asked who's there, come here and fight like a MAN. As they saw some movements, men took their position. Slowly Shantaram with red eyes and covered in blood along with his family stepped out of the jungle. The Mukhya recognised and got to his knees, seeing this the men also got on their knees. "BABA" said the Mukhya. Everyone was delighted. Shantaram got to him caught by his shoulders and made him stand and soon hugged him," Shambhu, my son." Kaminibai smiled but Sanjay and Shobha looking at each other confused.

The Gaura's were then welcomed and made comfortable, served dinner and later had to explain what had happened. To this Shambhu couldn't control his anger and raged to settle the matter their ways. But Shantaram stopped him and said I don't want you to do anything just one small thing. I want this man's head hanging on the bow at my house tomorrow telling my brothers that I am still alive and very much waiting for my chance to get back to village after my work in the city has ended. Shambhu agreed and let them have a hut to sleep. As soon they got in the hut, Kaminibai couldn't stop and started crying apologising to Shantaram for whatever happened. She couldn't take that insult. Sanjay and Shobha also apologised and said that 'they are the reason for this and not AAI.' Shantaram stepped close to them but hugged all and said "We are Gaura's, we have a prestige. I don't care even if I am alone, I will fight for the right and demolish all the bad I could. You'll also did the same thing, so its OK." They felt relieved by the guilt they thought they were carrying and were happy to see their Man back. But the curious children were talking in gestures as if they wanted to ask something. Shantaram sensed that and asked," Is it something you wanna ask children?" Hesistantly Both said "YES." "WHO IS SHAMBHU?" asked Sanjay. To this Shantaram smiled and said," Once upon a time after your Grandfather died, he handed over the powers to me. Not directly but through process you know. But not everyone could digest that, not just your uncles but the outsiders as well. They wanted our Gaurawadi as it was flourished with one of the best flora and fauna. So they knew they couldn't do anything that could challenge me and hence they started disturbing our nature. They started killing our animals and burning down our farms with such materials that we could not grow and plant till the present time. Our farming was then handled by Shambhu's father. He was the one who kept our Gaurawadi beautiful. But during this burn down process Shambhu lost his father. Burnt alive by those outsiders. We took our revenge but that was not enough to bring his father back. So all I did was to built his community their own small village and made Shambhu their Mukhya. Away from the mess we had at our place, somewhere near to Nirvana. Like how peaceful it is to stay here right? So this is all about Shambhu." "BABA you are great. I wish to have a son who could be like you as I can never be." " Your son will be more than what I was. Now let's sleep, tomorrow we will finally go to our place." "Gaurawadi?" Asked Shobha worried. "No. In Nombay." smiled  Shantaram and they all slept  with happy faces.
