SURPRISE

It was so planned, perfectly executed but surprise for many. What a beautiful way to end a short span of my vacation with my loved one’s my FAMILY. Right from August I had planned this holiday and the reason behind it was none other than my brother’s wedding with my sister. I know you’ll might be confused now, but yes you read it right.  A huge function for me as I was a part from both side of the family. It was my Maasi’s (Mom’s sister) son and my Aatya’s (Dad’s sister) daughter who were getting married to each other, that too love marriage with an amazing 10 years and more being in relationship.

I had booked my airlines round trip ticket already in the month of August. All I wanted now was to plan the perfect surprise for my family of me coming to the wedding. Preparation started one by one and everyone was given their set of work. The days were getting closer and everyone now started to ask me of my presence to the wedding. It was obvious that I was going to act in such a way that it was not at all possible for me to come to the wedding but yet I am trying my best. I mailed my Roster-in-charge about the same for real and he approved it provisionally. So I was sure from my side that I would get it. I had also planned what other things I am going to do when I’ll be there at my place and had listed it down the itinerary for the same with my bestie. As the time came I became more excited about the function. I was imagining how amazing my surprise would be and how everyone is going to love that. How amazingly we all are going to enjoy this wedding, how madly I am going to dance on the Zingat song and how beautifully we are going to capture these moments in our hearts forever. All these thoughts brought a broad smile over my face. I use to get goosebumps just by imagining how great haldi night will be. A week before I also ordered online, my Kurti and Dhoti which also came on the right time, the amazing thing was that the fitting was perfect.

It was all planned, but then the unexpected happened. The roster was out and I was not given my holiday. I was shattered. Never did I thought this was going to come. I was not ready for this. Just couldn’t wait more but I had to because the time for any query regarding the same would be solved in a stipulated time and it was not, so I had to wait for the next day. Next day I called my Roster-in-charge and talked about this with him. But without any issues he adjusted my holiday and I am really thankful to him. All I was now waiting for was the date of engagement. I did night duty, requested my supervisor to leave me early so that I could catch my flight on time. He did that and I left one hour early took my breakfast had it asap and got ready with my packed bags, left the house and after a busy airport checks I finally boarded the aircraft. Was waiting for the food so that after having it I would sleep till I land. As soon as the aircraft took-off they served us with chicken nugget and a pasta. I hogged and closed my eyes. It was like just 5 mins and a thud sound came and the aircraft was shaking I opened my eyes to see that the aircraft had landed.

I was so tired that I dint even came to know that I reached my destination. My parents were waiting for me at a hotel near my place along with my grandparents. I took the rick from the airport and directly stopped at the hotel. I was so much excited to meet my parents and Grandparents. I opened the door of the hotel with a broad smile, and their they were sitting right in front of the door. Eyes pooped out looking at me, “Aiyyo !!!” shouted my Grandmother. My parents were smiling all the way from ear to ear by looking at me after 6 months. My mom hugged me with wet eyes. Happy to see me. “ Dare you talk to me, Dint even told us you are coming.” Shouted my Grandmother. “ But first you come here.” And she hugged me kissed me on my cheeks. We had an amazing lunch and I told them not to tell anyone about me and we left. I did my shopping for the engagement. It took a while and I got late for the event. It was timed for 6’o clock in the evening. It was 6 already and I was still at home. I rushed out and took a rick to the hall.

I entered the hall again with excitement. And the very first person to notice was none other than my MAMA, he just hugged me as soon as he saw me and then my family followed, it was such an amazing moment for me, so nostalgic so emotional. Hugging every single of my cousin and my aunts and uncles. So much love in just one day. The best executed surprise plan for my family. That beautiful smile and amazing love I saw it just made my night and gave me reason to smile for the next whole year. The function went so well, we just enjoyed every bit of it. Everyone were asking the same thing, “You there till the wedding na?” I gave an amazing reply, “ I came today because I had off after my duty, going back tomorrow and would try my best to come back.” And they were like, “We know you are going to give us another surprise.” I left for the most miraculous time and came back in the morning of Haldi.

Our plans were simple, to pick my Tuxedo, then leaving for Haldi of my Sis and then for Haldi of my Bro. Me Mom & Dad left with all the bags in the car and went to pick my Tuxedo which was 95% ready and were waiting for the final stitch. But they told we will get it by evening and so we left it and told them to deliver at my Bro’s place where we were going to go for haldi at night. Now we left for my Sis Haldi, as I reached the spot we were looking for Parking. I was driving so I asked dad to please check for proper parking. Later he got one exactly in front of my Aunt’s place and so I proceeded. At the time of parking my sis came outside to receive as she came to know that her MAMA( my dad ) had come. But she was confused by seeing him walking outside the car. Now she started thinking, if Mama is walking outside, then who the hell is driving the car. I can see a big Question Mark on her face. She was trying to look very hard through the glass but due to reflection she just couldn’t see my face. But then came my little sister observing her face, why is she giving such an expression and what is she looking at? So she came and saw in my direction. She came to know it was me, and she screamed to death, “ DADA!” And ran towards my direction. I laughed and was ready to get beaten up by my lovely ladies, and yes that was the next thing they did. Both my sisters ran towards me and started hitting me while I was busy parking in a critical area taking much of the advantage of that situation. Soon we got inside and I met both of my Aunt. Everyone were so much happy and were like how bad you are, didn’t even let anyone know about it. How did u managed to do so? I said the holiday was sanctioned way before, this was the SURPRISE for you’ll. We ended the program with much playful things and now we had to leave for bro’s Haldi. It was too late to go as we had to drive approximately 60km with only one lane available due Metro construction work. So we decided that Me & my Mom will go by train with all our necessary belongings for the big event. We ate and we ran as fast we could. Our train journey was totally adventurous. To be specific it was from Vile Parle to Virar. Every Mumbaikar reading this will now know how adventurous it was that too in the peak evening hours.

Me & my Mom were getting out of the rick. My Choti Maasi (Mom’s li’l sis) called mom and was asking where is she, to that she replied we are in train and might reach some time later. By the time she kept the phone I entered the gate with my mom and saw my Maasi n my li’l sister keeping the phone. They got a glimpse and turned their heads, there I was standing in front of them and my sis ran out and gave the famous Spider-Man hug. I was so mesmerized and happy as well with the love I have always got from my family. They both were surprised and it was now time for the rest of my family too. I entered the Mandap (Booth) and they were dancing already but as soon as they saw me the excitement level went from 100-1000. This is what I always wanted to see and the reason why I made this surprise plan and it was so well executed that it went the way I want it too. After that the night went amazing, the next day was the Wedding Day, the best wedding in our family. Also that there was a surprise for many on the same day as well. Just can’t wait for one of my other cousins to get married so that I could enjoy this family fun and love once again. I am the luckiest person to have such an amazing family, feeling so blessed.

IDEALLY NAUGHTY - 2 (PART I )

PART I

(STRUGGLE)

He was running hard, hard as he could. Sweating as if he had a shower, his clothes stuck to his body, eyes were red and wet. Sanjay reached with this posture to a hospital where his father Shantaram was admitted. Shantaram had a mild heart attack. The reason behind it was very clear that he had took too much pressure of his job. Soon the company was going to close and the future of his kids was on stake. Shobha’s marriage was in front and Sanjay was still studying in school.

Sanjay ran to his father and was staring at him. “BABA .” called Sanjay out of curiosity to see whether his father is going to respond or  not. To his surprise he did, and Shantaram opened his eyes. He was raising his hand to that Sanjay responded quickly and caught his hand. “Sorry, I did not informed you’ll while leaving.” said Shantaram to his son. Sanjay nodded with his eyes fully wet and was controlling his emotions. “ Where were you all these days?” asked Sanjay. Shantaram was saying something but couldn’t be heard as he was not having strength to talk much. Soon his colleague entered and kept his hand on Sanjay’s shoulder, Sanjay asked “Do you know where he had been?” “We all had been to Delhi for strike.” Replied Mohan a tall man with wide shoulders and a beard and fair complexion with his arms full of nerves and well built. “What!!!!! Delhi? Are you joking? I mean seriously, you all had been to Delhi for strike? Are you all insane?” shouted Sanjay. He totally lost his patience after hearing that his father had been to Delhi without telling anyone for a strike. Soon he came back to normal and apologized for getting angry on him. He sat down on a chair beside his father and started crying. Within no time Kaminibai and Shobha too came there and hugged Sanjay as he was crying nonstop.

After discharge the Gaura’s went to village for a change. There he told Kaminibai that he might go to town in some days in search of a new job and that she along with the kids should help others in farming. Kaminibai was not at all in a mood to leave her husband alone in this situation but she had to agree to this. Soon Shantaram left and Kaminibai and children were again saying bye to their whole and sole of the family. As soon as Shantaram left for town there had been a drastic change in the behavior of other members of the family as if they were a burden on them. Kaminibai soon took a new job in hand in the farm of a neighboring village. Shantaram’s brothers came to know about this and they were angry on her and told her to leave the job and told her to do the household work instead for all. But she refused and said that she will not do so.

One fine day when Kaminibai was working in the fields she heard some footsteps. She stopped and saw across the fields but nothing unusual. She again started to work. Soon after she resumed, she heard the sound again but the intensity increased this time. She got nervous as to what was coming but still kept her calm but before turning to resume her work she could see the grass moving, her heart beat increased, she now started to focus on the moving grass as to what was coming. The incoming thing was coming fast towards her but Kaminibai was all ready to face it and so she had her knife ready for it. Soon a dear came out from the direction running the hell out of her life, and she left a sigh of relief and was going back to her work, but then she thought why the hell dear was running so fast and that striked her. Her eyes widened and she could hear the running footstep of a beast come in her direction, as soon as she turned she realized she was late to be ready for this beast as he had already jumped on her and used his claws to attack. Kaminibai fell down on the grass rolled and was back on her foot, but this time she was ready for him. It was a cheetah who was chasing its prey and found a much bigger prey than before. Both of them were looking into each other’s eyes as to predict what will be the next move. Moving in a circular path as if marked on the grass this was a do or die situation for Kaminibai. Yowls could be heard from him but this did not make her feel frightened she was focused and was waiting for his move. He did that what she expected, cheetah did his move, he jumped on her  as if it was his own meat territory but Kaminibai was all ready for this as she went down on her knees bent herself down from the back in the direction of his jump and inserted her knife accurately into his chest. Stream of blood popped out from his body that splashed on her face as soon as she penetrated him. Soon both of them were on the opposite side with Kaminibai on her legs but cheetah lying down in his pool of blood. She turned towards him and started to walk. She then kept one of her leg on him turned her knife to make the maximum damage, penetrated the knife more in and then finally took her knife out of his body and screamed the hell out of her body as she had won the battle. Grabbing by his legs, she took this dead cheetah to her village so that she could offer this to their Goddess and thank her for giving her strength to overcome this fatal situation. With her saree all wet with her sweat and face covered in blood, everyone was shocked to see Kaminibai. As soon she dropped the cheetah in front of the temple, people started to applaud her and screaming in excitement.

Gaura’s came out of their house to see what was happening. Sanjay and Shobha too came out running, as soon as they saw their mother covered in blood they ran towards her and hugged her. They asked whether she is ok and she just nodded yes. Sanjay and Shobha both took her to their house and soon Shobha kept water on heat for Kaminibai to wash herself. Pindrop silence was there in the house as if they were mourning. Breathes could be heard. Kaminibai started thinking while having a bath that this is it, she is not going to wait here anymore and that she needs her husband. As soon as she came out getting freshed she said, “ We are leaving by tomorrow.” Sanjay and Shobha gave a shocking look, as to how could they go without letting dad know about this. He was going to talk but Kaminibai signaled him to be quiet with an angry look. Elder brother-in-law(BIL) said, “ No, you will be here till Shantaram comes. We don’t want any issues over this, you are our responsibility till your husband is here and we would be going against all the odd to keep you safe, against you as well if needed.” Kaminibai gave an angry look and said, “ This is not fair.” Hearing this the younger BIL came out of nowhere and slapped Kaminibai in front of everyone and said, “ We are not asking you, its an order.” This was the worst he could do to make Sanjay angry enough that he went near him and started to beat the shit out of his uncle. Everyone was trying to stop Sanjay but they did not succeed, he kept on hitting him as if it was the fight for survival. Uncle started to run away but Sanjay managed to stop him in the center of the village and he was hammering his own uncle in front of everyone with the series of abusive words. No one had the guts to stop Sanjay such was his anger. Finally Kaminibai came out and ordered Sanjay to stop with a stern voice to which Sanjay responded. He gave a bad look to his uncle and said, “ Never ever mess with my family” spat on his face and went inside his house with anger.

The next morning Kaminibai, Shobha and Sanjay left the village all on their own for an adventurous journey, adventurous because they did not know the road to their city. But knew their destination, clear of the vision they started on their journey as soon as the first sunray hitting their part of the land wasting no time so that they could cover the maximum in a day.

I MISS YOU 2

Hi guys, this is a short story about two best friends, Anjali and Rahul. How they use to be and how they loved each other and yet were not in a relationship. They loved to stay like this and show their love towards each other. To observe each other from a distance but not getting noticed by the other.

This one as I said is from Rahul’s point of view. How these both love birds were loving each other in their thoughts and how this all ended differently.

Standing along with his Dad, Rahul was paying his fees to get admission in this institute but was standing there like a dumb. His eyes were stuck somewhere they shouldn’t go, at least in front of his Dad. Yes you thought right, his eyes were glued to one beautiful face. She was standing beside him for the same thing. She saw him looking at her. As soon as their eyes met Rahul gave her a smile but she did not responded and looked away. As soon as she gave her reply Rahul came to senses and looked at the cashier, he was looking at him through his glasses with a weird look, “ HUA ? AB PAISE BHARE?” and Rahul handed him the cheque with a weird smile. He was done and was leaving the room, but couldn’t do it without giving a glimpse at her. It was his first day at the college, as soon as he entered the room he couldn’t believe what he saw. It was the same girl who was sitting on the first bench. His eyes again glued on her, but this time she responded with a smile. He went back and was feeling happy. Attendance started and Rahul had his eyes glued to his girl so that he might come to know her name. “ANJALI.” Said the instructor and she raised her hand with a pretty voice saying confidently, “ PRESENT SIR.” And looked back where Rahul was sitting as she knew he would be waiting for this. As she turned she saw he was looking at her and she turned her face in front again with a smile.

Years passed by they became friends and soon they started enjoying each other’s company. Soon they partnered for a dance and became more bold and open with their actions. They started to explore each other but without letting anyone know. Soon they found one big thing in common and that was the love for food. That thing boosted up their friendship to such a level that they never backed from there. They started exploring different food items from the famous places and were loving to travel just for food. Soon their college life ended and now they were worried as to what will happen if they got separated from each other. Both of them were worried and started praying but did not let each other know about this. They both loved secretly and both knew about it. They were happy in doing so as it was never creating any disputes between them till now. Soon the list for Training was declared and it happened what they were worried about. It was Anjali who had her name in the list before Rahul. She did not liked this and ran from their as she saw the list name without Rahul. Rahul was both upset and happy, mixed feeling, happy as her name was in the first list and sad that she was going to be separated. He saw her running towards girls washroom, as he knew she was crying. Soon she came out with her eyes red and hugged Rahul. He consoled her and told her to be quiet and to always be happy for what you get. Don’t cry everything will be fine it’s just a matter of 6 months. He knew he was lying as he was not ok as well. But he accepted it and they both left the college.

Now he was waiting outside his training centre and looking for his name. Before he could find his name, it was Anjali’s name he saw first. He smiled and waved it off as he thought there will be a girl with same name. Someone then patted his shoulder, he turned and saw a familiar he was expecting to see from so long and soon had a smile that was long from one ear to another. It was Anjali standing behind him also joining on the same day. He did not believed and asked her how is this possible and she explained him how she managed to do this. He was amazed and was just looking at her thinking about she did this only to be with me. Could this be the girl I wanted all my life? He couldn’t help but had to hug her before entering the Centre. They did their training together and also continued their food exploration campaign. They ended with their training and where applying for a job but they failed, so they again went for training. In the training period they got one golden opportunity from a company they were waiting for and soon decided to depart.

Anjali heading herself in his wardrobe and throwing his clothes towards him as RAHUL was packing his bag at the other end of the room. Anjali had done her packing well before hand and now was helping him in doing the same. RAHUL was observing her from the other end, how she was keen on helping him with his packing. More worried than RAHUL was about his own packing. Soon his parents came and started scolding him on his casual attitude for not getting ready for the trip. As soon as RAHUL was done with his packing they reached the spot from where the bus was going to pick them up. Bus came and soon they departed. It was a long 18 hours journey and both of them were excited. Bus was a sleeper coach and they booked seat for the double sleeper were they could stay together. They started to play, eat, play again and chatted all the way long. RAHUL knew that Anjali was observing every inch of him as RAHUL was trying to adjust his cards. RAHUL too use to observe her from the corner of his eyes how she use to fall in love with him on his every single expression. They played and she observed all the way long till the bus took a halt for supper. They removed their tiffin and started hogging. This time again Anjali with a smile on her face was just looking at him how cutely RAHUL was hogging. RAHUL can say she looks so beautiful when she is looking at him trying to catch his every action. RAHUL was trying his best not to smile as she will come to know that RAHUL  was observing her too. RAHUL saw Anjali smiling and asked her what happened only by expression. She nodded and RAHUL couldn’t stop laughing and said to start eating again with an expression. After everyone had their supper, the bus took-off again and now they started to play new movies in the bus. Both of them watched movies and slept soon. They got up as the conductor started screaming “15 min RUKHEGI KHALI, JALDI NASHTA KARLO.” Both of them started to run with their brush in hand and a water bottle. After doing that they took a cup of tea and one masala dosa as usual. Having that they left for the destination.

Again they started to play and playing songs, “BAATIEN YE KABHI NAA,TU BHULNA, KOI TERE KHAATIR HAI JEE RAHA, JAYE TU KAHI BHI YE SOCHNA, KOI TERE KHAATIR HAI JEE RAHA.” RAHUL sang looking into Anjali’s eyes  and she just can’t stop herself from hugging him. They started singing together such songs and travelled a while to reach their spot. They started to live there with their friends. They use to start their morning together and use to end their day together. Right from getting up at 5’o clock for making food and breakfast, then use to run for bath and getting ready to leave for their job and then working together for the same company, having lunch together with colleagues, laughing and enjoying their work, that time also she couldn’t stop herself from looking at the world’s most beautiful thing and that’s his smile(she use to say that always), then coming back tired after working for 12 hours and then having supper and chit chat with the roommates and then going for sleep.

TIN TIN ! TIN TIN ! TIN TIN ! TIN TIN ! Rahul opened his eyes coming back from the flashback. Tears rolled from his eyes but there was no one to wipe it off. He needed his best friend to do so, but she was unaware about him, that he was hospitalized as he was breathing his last breathe. He never told her about the hole in his heart and that he was never going to stay alive like an average person, the only reason he never asked her for any commitment. He was still smiling as he had the best memories with him and that he was now happy to leave this world behind, before his memories vanish. Rahul closed his eyes, smiled and said, “I LOVE YOU ANJALI.”

I MISS YOU

Hi guys, this is a short story about two best friends, Anjali and Rahul. How they use to be and how they loved each other and yet were not in a relationship. They loved to stay like this and show their love towards each other. To observe each other from a distance by not getting noticed by the other.

This story is from Anjali’s point of view. Next one will be from Rahul’s view. I hope you will love this and relate to it somehow with your crush, if you had any. If not then too enjoy reading.

She was packing her bags with tears in her eyes as she was leaving her house for going on a new contract but this time all alone. She was missing someone so badly that she just couldn’t avoid his absence and was relating every particular course she was doing. Is this the power of love or its weakness? Asking herself but not getting a satisfactory answer to it.

Anjali heading herself in the wardrobe of Rahul and throwing his clothes towards him as he was packing his bag at the other end of the room. Anjali had done her packing well before hand and now was helping in doing the same. Soon his parents came and started scolding him on his casual attitude for not getting ready for their trip, as Anjali and Rahul had got a golden opportunity in their career. Soon they reached the spot from where the bus was going to pick them up. Bus came and soon they departed. It was a long 18 hours journey and both these besties were excited. Bus was a sleeper coach and they booked seat for the double sleeper were they could stay together. They started to play, eat, play again and chatted all the way long. Anjali observing every inch of Rahul as he was trying to adjust his cards, his expression how enthusiastically he was arranging them. She use to fell in love with him on his every single expression. They played and she observed all the way long till the bus took a halt for supper. They removed their tiffin and started hogging. This time again Anjali with a smile on her face was just looking at Rahul how cutely he was hogging. He looks so cute when he is hungry she said to herself. Rahul saw Anjali smiling and asked her what happened only by expression. She nodded and he laughed and said to start eating again with an expression. After everyone had their supper, the bus took-off again and now they started to play new movies in the bus. Both these friends watched movies and slept soon. They got up as the conductor started screaming “15 min RUKHEGI KHALI, JALDI NASHTA KARLO.” Both of them started to run with their brushes in hand and a water bottle. After doing that they took a cup of tea and one masala dosa as usual. Having that they left for the destination.

Again they started to play and playing songs, “BAATIEN YE KABHI NAA,TU BHULNA, KOI TERE KHAATIR HAI JEE RAHA, JAYE TU KAHI BHI YE SOCHNA, KOI TERE KHAATIR HAI JEE RAHA.” Sang Rahul looking into Ajnali’s eyes  and she just can’t stop herself from hugging him. They started singing together such songs and travelled a while to reach their spot. They started to live there with their friends. They use to start their morning together and use to end their day together. Right from getting up at 5’o clock for making food and breakfast, then use to run for bath and getting ready to leave for their job and then working together for the same company, having lunch together with colleagues, laughing and enjoying their work, that time also she couldn’t stop herself from looking at world’s most beautiful thing and that’s Rahul’s smile, then coming back tired after working for 12 hours and then having supper and chit chat with the roommates and then going for sleep.

THUDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!! Anjali shivered as she came back to her senses. She was crying, crying a lot as this time she was alone, travelling in that bus, going to stay their alone, going to work alone and going to bed alone. ALONE ! ALONE ! ALONE ! She was missing her friend her best friend. Why you left me? Why you went alone and kept me here all alone. ALONE ! ALONE ! ALONE ! Asking herself and getting no answer. She felt a hand on her shoulders, she turned to look who it was. It was her mother, Anjali hugged her mother and started weeping. Both mother and daughter couldn’t stop themselves. “He is not dead, he is there with you all the time. Don’t you worry my love just be happy and concentrate on your work. You know he never wanted to see you cry like this, nor did he ever wanted to be your weakness. He always tried to be your strength and now you have to show that yes he was your biggest strength and will always be.” Whispered her mother. Anjali saw the time, wiped her tears and packed the last thing on her list that was Rahul’s photo with his beautiful smile.

NAVIC

"DAAYE MUDIYE AUR AAP APNI JAGAH POHOCH JAYENGE."(Turn left and you shall reach your destination) said a voice from my GPS system as I was travelling to a new place in India. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Right? Not really, because soon this fantasy is going to be a reality. Yes you read it right.

Hello everyone, here I am with my new blog, on a new topic and I guess all my Indian friends know what I am going to talk about in this blog. Guessed right guys, it’s the ‘NAVIC’. NAVIC itself means Sailor or the Navigator. Now some of you might not know what I am talking about and hence this is going to be really special and amazing fact or a fantasy for us Indians which is going to be true. Here we go.

NAVIC – NAVigation with Indian Constellation is an Indian developed Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) that is used to provide accurate real-time positioning and timing services over India and region extending to 1500 km around India. To be simple NAVIC is soon going to replace the conventional GPS system we use in our mobile phones. Thank you ISRO for making us proud again. Let’s see some basic information regarding the same.

Basic Information :-
Country of Origin                       - India
Operator                                     - ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organization )
Type                                           - Military, Commercial
Status                                         - Operational
Coverage                                    - Regional
Total Satellites                           - 9 (7 in orbit 2 on ground as standby)
Orbital height                             - 36,000 km
Cost                                            - Rs.1420 crore/ $212 Million
Weight                                       - 1,330 kg
Solar Panel Power Generation  - 1,400 watts

The 7 deployed satellites of NAVIC contain 3 satellites in GEO orbit and 4 satellites in GSO orbit. A satellite in GEO orbit means that it is having an orbital period or a rotational period and the direction similar to that of the Earth, and thus appears motionless. Whereas a satellite in GSO orbit means the rotational period is same but the direction is different i.e. the object will appear at the same place at the same time, but will disappear later. The requirement of such a navigation system became a necessity because access to foreign government-controlled global navigation satellite systems is not guaranteed in hostile situations, as happened to the Indian military depending on American GPS during Kargil War.

The NAVIC would provide two services, with the Standard Positioning Service open for civilian use, and the Restricted Service for authorized users (including the military). Once the NAVIC is declared operational after checking the systems – space (satellites), ground (ground stations) and the user-end signal receivers, India will formally join a selected group of nations owning their own Navigational Satellite System.

The first of the seven satellites was launched on 1st July 2013 and the rest is history. These satellites are placed in particular orbit as said to give optimum result and if you see from above it will appear to be moving in the form of an “8”. All this information is what you need to know as a proud Indian citizen. If you want to know more about it, then do visit ISRO’s main site for the same. I hope this blog gave you some knowledge and if so then do not hesitate to like, share and comment on the blog below.

A BEGINNING

Running down from one end of the room to other,  just to fetch a cup of water, as my homemade Chicken had loads of Lal Mirch powder that burnt my Esophagus from top to bottom. Still can’t get rid of it, so cupped a handful of sugar and threw directly onto my taste buds and simultaneously some remaining rice as well. Hush!!!!!!!!!! I sighed as I got some relief from the burning sensation. Sat on my bed and started thinking of what would have been my reaction if my mom would have made such kind of stuff. A blast!!!!!BOOM!!!!!

Hello everyone, here I am back again with my new blog, sharing my experience as I moved to Delhi from Mumbai, as a bachelor, all alone in a new city, as I had got an Internship in Indigo Airlines as a Trainee - Maintenance. After some nostalgic feeling till I got onboard, I started to think practically about my life in coming future. There will be no one to guide me, or give me a precautionary guidance before I do something wrong. I won’t be having my Mom by my side to help me out with the food stuff, my Dad by my side to help me with the laundry nor I’ll be having my Grandparents to yell at me about making mess around the room. Will I be able to cope with this awkward silence around me? I had never been so lonely ever before, I had my buddies around me on a trip to Hosur before this and so was not missing any of these said celebrities (Yeah, these are my Celebrities). Moving onto one of the haunted Cities surrounded by the criminals was not an easy task though, but we A.M.E. students have no other options to set our career right. For me, this was one of the ideal situations to start my career with a BANG.

As soon as I landed and reached my spot, Mahipalpur, my batch mate was waiting for me to pick me up and take me to his room. We walked around 1.5km from the pickup point with a weight of around 23kgs. Crossing and walking the busy streets of Mahipalpur, we soon reached his room. Then I came to know that there are 3 of my batch mates staying in this area and I was relieved about having someone whom I knew. Soon along with 2 batch mates, one working in Air India Ltd. as Contract Technician and the other working in the same company as of mine, we started to go for our supper as it was 21 hrs. already. On supper we had a chat about the locals and soon I was aware about the locality as well. After some chitchat we went to our rooms and prepared for bed. Before going to bed, my friend told me that tomorrow we will go out and watch for the rooms, I nodded and we slept.

Next morning we got up and soon started to search for the rooms, we roamed for around 3 hrs. yet we didn’t find anything satisfactory. I was getting worried as I never wanted to compromise on having a better kitchen and toilet in my room. I was consoling myself that I have to struggle and that these things shouldn’t matter me much. But then by God’s grace one person knew that we were hunting for room and he showed me one place where rooms were available and it was just a new construction. We headed in that direction and contacted the landlord. One person came and opened the door for us and took us to the room and showed us. It was an amazing room and not even giving a second thought I booked it. I gave him advance and asked when should I shift, he said he requires 2 more days to finish up the remaining furniture work in my room. I said Ok and left with satisfaction.

After 2 days my batch mates helped me with setting up my room and soon I was in my own room(though on rent). I can never thank them much whatever they did for me. Now the actual adventure begins. I joined my company, did all my documentation and was waiting for the pass to be issued so that I may resume with my work. But till then I have to wait, it was going to take minimum of 10-15 working days, and I started thinking what am I going to do these days? These were the days I am going to realize the pain of a housewife. Sitting idle, doing nothing but just thinking of what should I make for lunch, supper and breakfast, then doing the utensils and later the major part i.e. laundry that too by hand. I started thinking about my Mom, she too is a working lady and thanked her for taking so much pain for the family for so many years, thanked my Dad who taught me how to give a helping hand to your spouse and setting up a beautiful example to be an ideal husband and a father. They say you value things only when they are apart, truly said. I started doing all these stuffs on a regular basis and was fed up as I couldn’t continue doing this for a longer period. I tried many dishes but always there was some or the other thing missing in it. I didn’t gave up and tried my best by keeping my Mom and Dad in my mind as an inspiration. I never said though, but this blog would surely make them sentimental and I would say that yes I AM MISSING THEM A LOT. LOVE YOU LOADS. Setting up a new life is not at all easy, that too alone is a big moment. But I always thought of making my own Empire, so this is just the beginning and soon step-by-step I’ll make sure that my parents would be proud of me. Before going I would like to mention that people around are not that bad. Just all we need to do is be aware, wherever you go.

THANK YOU

BUDGET 2016. IMPRESSIVE !!!!

Union Budget of India (2016-2017): What are Balaji Viswanathan's views about Union Budget 2016-17 of India?

Once again, it is a pretty decent budget. It does not contain anything extraordinary like Dhoni's helicopter shot or Dilshan's scoop. It is plain old Rahul Dravid's drive. Things were good enough that even the staunchest India critics - Guardian [India budget targets farmers and promises infrastructure upgrades] and BBC [India budget to boost farm growth] were positive. While it would have been easier for the government to spend a lot in an election year [and get kudos from everyone], it has taken a prudent, miserly approach focused on long term health of the economy.

The key theme this time has been boosting therural economy with minor themes on clean environment and keeping spending prudent. At a time India is reeling through massive droughts, this cannot be better timed. We need rural India to modernize to grow quite fast. Besides economic reasons, there is also the political reality of elections in states with large rural areas [like UP]. Modi Sticks With India Deficit Target in Pro-Farmer Budget

Here is a quick background on how India spends its money: Breaking Down Indian Government's Expenses.

Building rural India's infrastructure

Here are some of the key projects for this:

100% rural electrification in 2 years.100% usage of cooking gas in 3 years [replacing kerosene and wood].100% FDI in food processing. More innovation and investments for processing will help increase the value of agriculture.Huge increase in irrigation expenses.Irrigation projects to get Rs 86500 crores over next five years5 lakh farm ponds and 10 lakh compost pits.More loans to farmers and more spending on MGNREGA.22% increase in infrastructure investment to build more roads and railways, most of which will be for rural areas. This will be the record year for amount of new roads added - 10,000 km of national highways and 50,000 km for upgrading existing roads. 2.2 lakh crores for this.Plenty of new investments in ports and new airports.

Cleaner, Greener India

Backing up what was mentioned in the Railway budget, the electrification budget of railways increased by 50%. That replaces the polluting Diesel.Taxes on coal and motor vehicles increased.Big push on organic farming [Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana] - 5 lakh acres to be brought under organic farming and a new project to add market value for organic produce on that launched in Northeast.3000 more crores a year for nuclear power.9000 crores for Swachh Bharat.Reduced paper usage with e-assessment and more spending on digital India.

Fixing nation's health and mind

The previous budgets had the problem of spending too less on health. Part of this is addressed this time, although a lot more is to be done. This year the spending on health and education increased to Rs. 1,51,581 crore.A "National Dialysis program" is launched.New health insurance of annual coverage about 1L and 1.3L for senior citizens.More spending on skill development and new navodyas. Other than that the education part of the spending is not spectacular.

Balancing expenses with expectations

Since 2014, a key objective for Jaitley has been to cut India's deficit [how much we spend more than we borrow]. In the past, we have been recklessly spending and the people who lent us the money put India in the category of untrustworthy borrowers [credit rating in junk territory]. The huge spending also increased inflation and forced RBI to keep a high interest rate - thereby affecting entrepreneurs. It was a vicious circle.

For the past 2 years, India's Finance Minister has been on a diet. The key here is to keep reducing the left chart [our expenses] while still growing the right chart [our growth]. This time, it is the lowest deficit in a long time. Sadly, no one is give you a party for dieting.

Indian Budget as It Happened

Rebuilding the banks & fixing bankruptcies

As I mentioned in my other post [What exactly are NPAs of banks?] India is facing a major NPA crisis. The budget brings 25000 crores of government money to back the banks from going bankrupt. And there is a long due proposal to fix the bankruptcy law to help get the assets from the bankrupt borrowers much more easily.

Bringing consistency to taxation

Over the years, many governments have made their taxation extremely complicated with huge amount of inconsistencies. This budget has cleaned up some of these. For instance, EPF was completely exempt from taxation while NPS and other pension schemes weren't. Why this different handling? The budget now brings uniform taxation for all pension schemes.

In the same way, the big inconsistency was providing more tax deduction for home loan interest, while the deduction for renters was very low. The deduction for renters has been increased bringing it more closer to home owners.

Budget's 9 pillars

The finance minister has outlined 9 pillars of interest and they are sound ones. While the corporations did expect more sops for them, in tough times we need something for everyone.

A few interesting ideas that went under the din and didn't get their due coverage.

At a time when a lot of the world is cuttingR&D spending, there was a massive hike in science & research spending [about 17% rise when the inflation is < 5%]. The health research is especially a big beneficiary.India’s budget keeps dream of genomics hub aliveBudget for new and renewable energyincreased by 20 timesThe Renewable energy industry seems upbeat after the Budget, here's whyGovernment will use the Sikkim model [that is becoming completelyorganic farming] to rapidly expand organic farming - starting from northeast India. Organic farms spread over 5 lakh acres228% increase in assistance to village governments [panchayats]. This is by far the biggest idea that went unstressed.Government increases Budget allocation for rural development - Panchayats will get Rs. 2.2 lakh crores [$30 billion] for growing rural India.1.5 crore [15 million] women to get LPG connection this year under a new scheme. This will be supported by 3000 new stores and this is the push for 100% LPG in 5 years. LPG connection for rural womenLike in the more developed economies,Real Estate Investment Trusts look likely to be a reality now. These are sort of mutual funds for real estate [people can buy land in now very small units - as small as Rs. 10] - Budget 2016 clears DDT hurdle in making REITs reality in IndiaWhile startup is not a part of lexicon for most governments, there has been a slew of small things for startups - Indian budget to boost startup ecosystem. There are a couple of minor irritations though: Budget 2016 is just short of being a blockbuster for startupsWhen loans go bad [like it happened with Kingfisher] we need to have mechanisms to make sure those assets are quickly used by the economy and the banks make fewest loss. The budget talks about newbankruptcy reforms and opening up ofasset reconstructioncompanies. Budget 2016: ARCs hail opening sector to foreign investment - Both of these will save public money & improve efficiency.

Union Budget 2016: The Fine Print

Now, the question is if these ideas are all good why did the Sensex go down slightly?

More taxes on coal and oil to clean up the environment. Some of the biggest companies in BSE are energy companies [List of BSE SENSEX companies]. Their stocks went down. Budget 2016: Coal cess in line with India’s climate commitmentsThere are new taxes on car companies, again to clean up the environment. There are plenty of auto companies in the Sensex. Their stocks went down too. There is an increased levy on expensive ready made garments. Budget 2016: Around two-fifths of readymade garments industry to face 2% excise levy - No good explanation for that.

Factbox: Corporate winners and losers from India's budget

However, as soon as the investors could see the other stronger elements of the budget, it did surge. A day after Budget, Sensex posts biggest single-day gain in 7 years

What could have been done better?

Consolidation of all the Income Tax cess [ideally removal of all that] and allocate funds from the main budget. These cess place undue burden on the middle class.A better compensation to the working class for losing the EPF tax privilege.

IDEALLY NAUGHTY - 1 ( PART IV )

PART IV

(HISTORY)

She was screaming, screaming as if her bones are cracking all at once. Kaminibai was lying on a bed holding a firm grip on the bedsheet. Tears were rolling out of her eyes, she was told to give a push, a strong push. Yes, Kaminibai was giving birth to her second child. Shantaram and his brothers along with the villagers were waiting outside, worried as to what’s happening. They all could hear her screaming, but Shantaram kept his cool and waited for the moment. Suddenly all the screaming was gone and it was quite, Shantaram got tensed and was going to run inside.  He then heard something that brought smile to his horrified face and hugged his brother. The voice of his just born made everyone happy and that everyone screamed in excitement. A lady from inside brought the child and handed it over to Shantaram. Shantaram was happy to see his child and announced everyone standing out there, “It’s a BOY.” Whole of the village started dancing to this and were very happy for Shantaram and they came to see his child. Shantaram gave away his child as everyone was eager to have a glimpse of the boy. Shantaram went inside their house to see how Kaminibai is, to his surprise; she was very happy and had no issues after the delivery. “Congratulations Kaminibai, a wonderful baby boy. You seem to be proud and happy.” Said Shantaram in Kaminibai’s ear while giving her a hug. “Hahaha!!!! It’s a gift for Shobha, she will be very happy to know that she is now having a brother.”

Shantaram brought Kaminibai back to their village as it was time for her delivery and that there was no one around in the city to take care of her properly. He took a long holiday from his company, so that he could take care of her wife and also said that he will be returning after the Ganesh Chaturthi. After having that first day experience Shantaram accepted the fact that it’s not easy to stay here in this city and for that he needs to make some rules and planning. So he equally included his family in it and discussed with them as to how they are going to stay and what should be the schedules. Early morning Kaminibai use to get up and make tiffin’s for Shantaram and Shobha, Shantaram then use to drop Shobha at her school and then use to go to his factory. Kaminibai then in the afternoon goes to pick up Shobha from her school and then they both have lunch together. After lunch, while Kaminibai gets a nap, Shobha use to go and play along with her friends. Then in the evening Shobha use to come back and start studying and Shantaram would also land up during that time. Shantaram use to help Shobha a lot with her studies.

It was exam time now, Shobha was worried about what would happen if she brings less marks, and it was showing on her face that she was worried. Shantaram saw that worried face and gave her a hug. He said, “Don’t worry my child, you have prepared well enough, now just go there and write it down properly.” Giving a peck on her forehead. She ran towards her class and went away. Shantaram soon left for his factory, he was worried about his daughter as to how will be her exam and was not able to concentrate on his work that day. He came home and couldn’t find Shobha, he was very eager to know from her how her paper was. Soon Shobha came running towards her dad and hugged him with happiness and told him that she wrote her paper so well that she expects to get full marks. Shantaram was very happy and then told her to start with her next day exam paper. All the papers were proper and it was the time of result. Parents were called to collect the result, as well as to see their Childs paper and also they were going to get the feedback from the teachers about Shobha. As soon as Shobha entered with her father, teacher gave a very broad smile and welcomed them and told them to sit. She announced in every one that Shobha scored a very good total and that she was first in the class. Shantaram was very happy and that he kissed her girl in front of everyone. Soon they returned home and everyone congratulated Shobha. On that evening group of parents came to meet Shantaram, he was happy as he thought all of them came to congratulate Shobha, but that was partially true. They came not only to congratulate her but also to ask for a favor. He was surprised and asked what the favor was. One of them said, “We know you are educated more than us and that you helped your daughter to come first, will you please help our children too? We are not able teach them and hence want you to do so, we will try giving you the fees as well, please.” Begged the crowd. Shantaram was speechless he gave a look at Kaminibai and asked her from the expression as to what should we do? She gave a nod in acceptance, Shantaram smiled and accepted the offer. Everyone was happy and all were trying to touch his feet in respect as he accepted their offer. He also made a shocking announcement that brought tears to everyone’s eyes, he said, “There’s no need to pay any fees, I’ll teach them for free.” Everyone did a Namaste and left the place. He gave a hug to his wife and his daughter and soon left his house for the evening aarti at the mandir.

All of such incidents were told by Shantaram on the night of his new born baby boy. Everyone was eager to know how Shantaram was spending his days in the new city. Everyone was gathered near the temple as it was a feast announced by Shantaram. Kaminibai was watching from their house how happy Shantaram was to meet his friends and to tell them about the city life. All the ladies in the house were happy for Kaminibai for having a baby boy and also to have got settled in the city. Kaminibai too was feeling a change in the behavior of everyone and that everyone was behaving very properly and showed their love. They even told that they were missing her very much and that it was very difficult for them to remove their starting days without them, and also agreed to the decision of Shantaram to leave and that this was the only thing that brought some responsibilities on the shoulders of these men in the house. All of a sudden everything seems to be perfect. Kaminibai was smiling and again was looking at her enthusiastic husband.

After some days it was the name keeping ceremony, every single person was invited to this ceremony. Whole village was being decorated for this and that all of them were waiting just for the baby boy to get ready and bring him outside. The ceremony was kept at the Gaura’s house and it was decorated in such a manner that anyone could say that there was something special happening in this house. Soon the boy was brought and he was been blessed by everyone in the village, but the special moment came when the roar of the Tiger was heard. Everyone was quiet, as he roared and welcomed the new born. It was clear that this boy was not any simple boy and that he was special. Soon the roaring stopped and all of them shouted in unison, “AAI JAGADAMBECHA UDO UDO, HAR HAR MAHADEO.” Soon the rituals were performed, Aunt of the baby i.e. the sister of the father would decide the name as per the rituals and would first tell it to the baby in his ear and then would announce, it was SANJAY. Every person was smiling as they loved their name. They also appreciated their chimney for keeping this beautiful name. After this ceremony all had their dinner and went on to their own houses, satisfied. The Gaura’s were very happy as the program went properly as planned. After some days, the big event came, it was Ganesh Chaturthi. Every year Shantaram was the one to take up the responsibility and all were expecting to be the same this year, but Shantaram was a man full of surprises and he gave the honor to his big brother. He was shocked and very happy, he hugged Shantaram and accepted the responsibility. Those were the amazing 11 days of Ganesh Chaturthi and soon it was Anant Chaturthi. It was time for Bappa to leave, everyone were sad and were shouting, “GANPATI BAPPA MOURYA, MANGALMURTI MOURYA, PUDHCHYA VARSHI LAVKAR YAA, LADOO MODAK GHEUN YAA.”

After the Ganesh Chaturthi it was time for Shantaram to leave and soon get back to his schedule. His students were waiting for him and his factory too made and an urgent call. Some serious issues had been created in the factory. Shantaram along with his family was welcomed by the people of the chawl. Everyone was looking happy and that were impressed on the boy for his looks. He was healthy and milky. Everyone was playing with him, many of them use to visit the house just to play with him. The neighbors use to take him and keep him at their place so that Kaminibai would get some time to work. Soon Takedi came to know that Shantaram teaches for free and he landed up there with his kid. He requested to teach him too, Shantaram accepted that and also suggested Takedi to leave this Vasuli business. To that he gave an angry look and went away saying nothing. Some years passed by in tension, Shantaram’s factory was removing their workers as the company was going in loss and hence couldn’t afford to pay all of them, but Shantaram was still their because of his performance. Sanjay also started to go to school. He too was brilliant as his sister. The best subject of both these Gaura’s children was Math’s, which always is a subject of worry for most of the students. Shantaram also use to visit his village, Sanjay and Shobha love it, and so they use to spend their vacations here in the village. Now Gaura’s family was too big as these brothers had 6 children in total and 9 including the chimney’s 3 children. They all came together during their vacation time and had great fun. They were also trained during that time like the fighters they are. They were told about their Grandfather and Great-grandfather and also about their wars how they fought as in inspiration. Sanjay was very sharp from all the others and also was the best in them. But none of the brothers were feeling jealous or fallen out as Sanjay would love everyone equally and was also being good to everyone.

They grew up fast, it was time for Shobha’s big test, and she was sitting for the Matric Exam and it made her real nervous. All eyes were on Shobha, will she pass? As she couldn’t afford to go for any classes.

Shantaram was also worried but had lost most of his interest as he was unstable because of his job. His job was on stake, he was worried as how will he be managing his household stuff, he was not least interested in getting social. Shobha didn’t even complete her Matric and her marriage plans were on round. How will Shantaram manage to collect money for her marriage? How will Shantaram manage to complete Sanjay’s higher studies? What should be the next step to earn? Should he set up any business? But who would help him for doing that? Sanjay was worried about his father. As his father had changed along the way, he was not the same person as he was. Shantaram was not even sharing his feelings with his wife. Everyone was worried, but no one had the guts to ask Shantaram. What will Sanjay do to end this dark time? What will be the situation in the coming days? All these questions will be answered in the next series ‘IDEALLY NAUGHTY – 2’.

IDEALLY NAUGHTY - 1 (PART III )

PART III

(HISTORY)

“Here, we reached.” said Shantaram to his wife Kaminibai and her daughter Shobha, giving them a hand to get down from the cart. Shantaram came to Nombay a city with full of opportunities to try his luck and setup a new life for the better future of his children. He gave a look at the area from where he was standing. All he could see was a dairy setup and many huts for those who had been here from a while for the same reason as Shantaram. By taking his support Kaminibai got down from the cart very carefully, as she had a child in her womb one month away from coming into this world. A man with a light brown kurta and a white dhoti came running down the road just to help Shantaram from offloading the bags from the cart. Shantaram gave him a surprised look and asked him, “Excuse me my friend may I know who you are?” to which the man replied, “Good morning Sir, my name is Kishan and I am here to help you as per the orders given by my Maalik Mr. Prakash Singh.” To which Shantaram gave a broad smile and both started to walk towards the house. Shanatram and Kaminibai followed Kishan along with Shobha and reached towards the house of the Maalik. He was so called as Maalik as he was the owner of the chawl were Shantaram was going to setup his new life along with his two ladies and the new comer.

They entered the house of Mr. Prakash Singh. Kishan came along with a glass of water and offered it to them asking them to have a seat, the Gaura family sat down and had water peacefully. Mr. Prakash came after sometime, he was a big guy, with everything as big as the word BIG really is. He was offered a chair by one of his servant, a special chair though, that will be of his size to fit onto. As soon as Mr. Prakash had his seat, Shantaram did a normal Namaste to which Mr. Prakash responded with a smile. “Guruvendra told me about you and your family and I am pleased to have you here, do make yourself comfortable here as all these people are very kind and would easily accept you into our chawl. If you find any difficulties in anything, Kishan is always here to help you as he looks around the chawl for me. Kishan will also lead you to your hut and would give you some tips about how to stay in this city. Else everything is fine over here, water comes in the morning at around 4 am and we also have load-shedding problem, light goes in the evening from 5-7pm for two hours and also from 9am-9pm on Friday only. As you have your job so you don’t have to worry about the earnings and I hope you also won’t make a delay in paying the rent. If you have any problem regarding that as well feel free to talk with me, we’ll surely land on to something acceptable for both of us. Electric bill is common for all and that’s Rs.1/- per month. I guess I have made all things clear and you don’t have any doubts. Right?” by saying this Mr. Prakash ended his speech to which Shantaram just gave a nod by again doing a Namaste. He got up and started to leave. “Wait” said Mr. Prakash, he got up from his chair came forward and moved his hand forward to shake hand with Shantaram. Shantaram responded positively by shaking hands with him with a grin on his face and said, “Thank you very much for such a warm welcome and being so kind Mr. Prakash. It was nice meeting you and I’ll make sure that you won’t get any complain about me and will live and let live in chawl peacefully.” “That was expected Mr. Shantaram.” Said Mr. Prakash with a smile and ordered Kishan to show them their hut.

The Gaura family once again started following Kishan. On the way they spotted a temple of Mahadeo and the Gaura family kept the bags down and bowed to one of the Trinity. As they stood up Kishan said, “This is the centre of the chawl and every morning at 6am and 7pm in the evening there’s an aarti, if you wish to join us do come on time.” And started walking towards the hut. As the Gaura’s were walking on the road to their new hut that went passing the huts in the chawl, every member came out and welcomed them with a smile and a Namaste to which the Gaura’s also responded. Kishan told everyone that these are our new members and that do show your love to them. After some puzzled road, they reached to their hut, Kishan dropped their bags and with a smile he said, “ This is your new house Mr.Shantaram, here is the key.” He handed the key to Shantaram and also wished him luck to start his new life in this city and went away.

Shantaram was nostalgic now, he was getting all the glimpse of his past and how he succeeded to lead his life and come in a city. Nombay was very popular and had the most facility than any city in the country. Yet he managed to get a hut in this city and soon will be joining onto his factory. Shantaram kept his bag down and was going to open the lock but a hand stopped him from doing so. That hand was too rough to say that it was of Kaminibai, his eyes glued to his hands, soon he followed the arm leading to that man who stopped him from opening the door. As Shantaram looked into his eyes, they were giving a screaming introduction. He understood that the person who is holding his hand is a Gunda(Goon/Hooligan) and would demand from him. Shantaram still managed a smile on his face and asked him, “Any problem my friend.” “Yes” replied the Gunda. “My name is Tekdi, I come here to collect money from those who reside here, I came to know that it’s your first day today, so came here to tell you that don’t mess or forget to give money to my men who will come here to collect it. They will come down from next month as this is your first month.” Said Tekdi introducing himself and letting him know the rules to stay here. As soon as he’s done, he departed. Shantaram turned around to see the reaction of Kaminibai and saw a horrified look, her face was showing that she was totally frightened and that sweat was dripping down her face. Shantaram came near her and gave her a hug saying everything’s gonna be alright and went onto open the door.

He opened the door, moved his hand towards Kaminibai and taking her hand in his hand he said, “Forget the past and lets start our new life.” And entered the house together. Kishan had already cleaned the hut. It was only 13 x 13 feet room, with the kitchen at the entrance. They kept their bags at the corner of the room and started to remove their clothes and necessary things. Kaminibai was setting up the kitchen with Shobha giving her a helping hand, her father Shantaram was busy setting up other things. They were busy setting up till the afternoon and then Kaminibai started to make Bhakri’s and a chatni for them as a lunch. They all ate and took a nap. It was 4 pm now and Shobha opened her eyes with a curiosity. She thought she heard some voices, but it faded away soon. She closed her eyes again, but soon after she heard it again, and woke up. She opened the door and went outside following the voice, it sounded like there was a group of girls who were playing nearby and hence she was more curious about it as she too wanted to join them. So she walked a bit and saw some 4-5 girls were playing the game of langadi. Shobha was observing them and had an urge to play with them but was too shy to ask for it. So she was just standing there observing them playing. Soon a girl noticed her standing and she gathered her other friends and was telling them something by pointing it towards Shobha. As she pointed her finger, all the girls were looking at Shobha and started coming towards her, Shobha was confused, what to do, should I run or should I wait to see what are they going to do. She chose to wait as the girls reached and one of them spoke, “ Hi, my name is Akruti, I know you are new here and have come today only, and that you were observing us from here, do you wish to join us?” Shobha was very happy and thought that these girls are very good at heart and accepted their invitation and soon Shobha started playing with them.

It was 6pm and Shobha was returning to her house. As she entered she saw a worried mother, Kaminibai was crying. Shobha was shocked, “Aai(mother)!” said Shobha. Kaminibai turned quickly and ran towards her and took her in her arms and asked “Where have you been?” to that she replied, “I was here, behind our house, playing with my new friends, they are good and took me to play with them.” And told her about the incident. Soon Shantaram came running towards his house and saw them having conversation. Shobha turned and saw anger in her father’s eye and started crying and apologized for going out without telling anyone. Shantaram was very angry but did not utter a word and just sat outside his house closing his eyes and thinking about how his first day in the city was. Soon he went inside caught Shobha by her hand and told her that they are new in this city and that she should never ever go anywhere without telling them or else she’ll be having it from him. Shobha was frightened and nodded with tear in her eyes.

Soon the day ended, they had dinner, Kaminibai and Shobha were cleaning the utensils in which they had their supper and Shantaram was making bed ready for all to sleep. After all the completion of work, Kaminibai and Shantaram laid themselves down on to their bed with Shobha in between them. Kaminibai and Shobha slept soon but Shantaram was yet awake thinking how bad his day went, that Gunda approaching even before he could open the doors of his new house, how his daughter was not in the house in this new city when they got up after a nap in the afternoon . It was one of those horrible days he would never forget. Shantaram was also worried as to when will he start working and that how is he suppose to manage with such a small amount of money that he is left with, Shobha’s admission to her new school, etc. Soon Shantaram slept while thinking about all these things and hoping that everything goes well ahead.

IDEALLY NAUGHTY - 1 ( PART II )

PART II
(HISTORY)

Although every man in the village was happy after Shantaram was elected as the new Mukhya, but the air of Mukhya's house hung in tension because of the degrading health of Ramchandra. He could not even stand on his legs, this sudden fall of his health made every person in the house worried. Vaidya’s were called to check Ramchandra, but all failed to tell the reason behind his sudden degrading health. All the brothers and their wives were worried for their father. Tension grew regarding their sister’s impending marriage with their father on the bed.

Shantaram somehow managed to fix her marriage with a good family in the neighboring village. They had their own business of cotton, which they use to give to cotton mills and earn lots of money. Everyone in the house was happy for her especially her father Ramchandra. He was very proud of Shantaram as he took the responsibility of the house very well, but last thing which he wanted from Shantaram was that he should also do something for his brothers. Shantaram too was worried about his brothers as none of them were employed and every single person in the family was living on the earnings of Shantaram.

One day Shantaram heard that there was a military selection camp in one of the neighboring village. Now this was an amazing opportunity for him to put forth his brothers and get them employed. He went on his own, gathered full information about the process, came home and told everyone about this. Ramchandra was happy and thought that finally all his sons would be employed, but only Shantaram, his sister, his wife and Ramchandra were happy with this decision. Getting a job in military means to fight for the country and to stay away from your own family. This point was not at all pleasing to any brother and hence they were unhappy. This thing was noticed when all the brothers went away silently after getting this news. Ramchandra called them back and forced them to go and scolded them for getting up in this manner and made all the brothers to apologize to Shantaram. All were angry on Shantaram yet with due respect for their father, they apologized and also agreed that they would go to the selection process.

Shantaram’s wife Kaminibai was pregnant during this time with their first child, yet she was the one to struggle in the kitchen and to take care of her father-in-law. Every single lady in the family were giving excuses about their children and working in the field. This made Shantaram very angry, he was going to make it very clear to everyone that this is not going in a proper way. But Kaminibai didn’t want any hard feelings in family, so she stopped Shantaram every time, whenever he became harsh with words. All these brothers and their wives were doing this deliberately because they all were jealous of Shantaram and now they got an extra reason to be angry on him. They didn't think that going to the milotary was for the betterment for their own family, yet this situation wouldn’t have risen if these brothers would have studied properly. Even Shantaram didn’t study higher enough just because he wanted to help his father. But that time they were enjoying and doing all the wasteful things and today are wasting their energy getting angry and jealous on him. Every action of these brothers were getting observed by Ramchandra as well, but he was helpless and could only watch this show from the front seat as he loved them all. Even Shantaram and his wife were noticing these changes but kept calm and didn’t waste their time thinking about them. One day postman came along with letters, Shantaram received these letters and thanked the postman. Letters were the reply for the application he made for his brothers. He soon told everyone about this.

Finally, its the day of selection, all these brothers were nervous, actually everyone in the family was nervous but all were acting brave enough to let them go. Shantaram was crying in his own heart to send them for this selection, yet he was thinking about his own brothers, the time they had spent in their childhood together, even though they were against him he loved his brothers, if they got selected they would be parted from him and also from his own family, but this is the only option he had for them. So he waved them by hardening his heart. Selection process involved them to stay for a week if they progressed. But two of them returned on the third day itself, they failed. Now all they could do was to come with their heads down to show how bad they were feeling about this, but they had planned already that they were not going to take this seriously. Ramchandra was sad and Shantaram was angry because he saw that they were least interested to get this job and had given an unsatisfactory explanation about the selection when asked by their father. So Shantaram declared in front of everyone that he is not going to take their responsibility anymore and that they should go on to look up for their own living, to which the brothers got worried. They didn’t utter a single word to Shantaram and started thinking as what to do and all but it was obvious that these dumb brothers wouldn’t find any solution but to go and beg from Shantaram to get them employed somehow, and they did that. They went to Shantaram and begged in front of him for employment, he gave a clear nod and told them to go away but they cried and showed him that they were helpless and begged for help. As Shantaram was kind at heart he got melted by this act of their brothers and told them that he would try something. Next day Shantaram came home from his work and told his brothers to go and join as farmers in the neighboring field. Recommending them where he himself worked. To this they got happy and started to express their gratitude towards Shantaram, flipping them off he went inside.

Days passed, and soon the day arrived when finally the girl of Gaura’s was getting married. She was very sad to leave her brothers specially Shantaram and her father. Every member in the family was crying as their chimni was waving them bye to start a new life and family. Ramchandra was being put on a wheelchair, he was satisfied and said that now he is willing to die happily.

Some months passed and soon Kaminibai delivered a baby girl and named her Shobha. She was healthy and was pretty, looking like her father. Everyone was happy in the village and had a feast for this. At the end of the feast Shantaram gave a blow to the villagers by telling them that he is going to shift to a new city and that they should elect a new Mukhya. This was a very big mistake done by Shantaram as he declared it in front of everyone as his own father went in shock and had an heart attack and died because of it. This is not how a brave warrior should have died, this is not how he should have gone, etc. etc. all these thoughts were running in Shantaram’s mind and his eyes were all filled with tears taking all the blame of his father’s death upon himself. After all the vidhis were performed he announced a meeting, all the villagers gathered in the center as usual, and Shantaram asked with his confident voice as to whom will be the next Mukhya, as he was totally sure to leave the village and get settled elsewhere. There was a pin drop silence, you could hear a heartbeat,it was that silent. No one was willing to tell Shantaram to give-up, so they started discussing between themselves and came to an unusual point, that Shantaram will stay to be the Mukhya of this village even if he doesn’t stay in this village. This decision made Shantaram shocked and his brothers even more jealous. Shantaram had an unsual feeling where he was both happy and sad about this decision. No one was against this decision, except his own brothers but they didn’t raise their voice as they knew it was useless and also kept a smile on their face. So he agreed to this decision and started packing his bags.

Time arrived where Shantaram was going to leave his village and get settled elsewhere. He was very emotional about this but all he wanted to do this was to make his brothers independent so that they would earn their living in a proper way. Kaminibai was pregnant again and all set for her delivery soon. Yet she wanted to go with Shantaram to accompany him and help him setup his life. Shantaram came out with his bags with unshed tears in his eyes. His brothers helped him by giving a hand to their bags. They too were crying but it was noticeable that it was crocodile tears. All the villagers gathered near the Mukhya’s house to give him a hug and bid him adieu. All villagers had tears rolling down their eyes, for that person who had brought prosperity to the village telling them bye. They knew he was going to be back and that he will have his eyes upon the village, but to stay there and being with them is a different thing rather than controlling and observing things from long distance. The cart started to move and soon Shantaram was out of sight.

Born on 17 September 1950 in a small town in Gujarat, he grew up in a poor but loving family ‘without a spare rupee’. The initial hardships of life not only taught the value of hard work but also exposed him to the avoidable sufferings of the common people. This inspired him from a very young age to immerse himself in service of people and the nation. In initial years, he worked with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) a Nationalist organization devoted to nation building and later devoted himself in politics working with the Bharatiya Janta Party organization at National and State level. Modi sir completed his MA in political science from Gujarat University.

In the year 2001, he became the Chief Minister of his home State Gujarat and went on to serve a record four terms as Chief Minister. He transformed Gujarat, which was reeling from the after-effects of a devastating earthquake, into a growth engine that makes a strong contribution to India’s development.
Narendra Modi sir is a ‘People’s Leader’, dedicated solving their problems and improving their well-being. Nothing is more satisfying to him than being amongst the people, sharing their joys and alleviating their sorrows. His powerful ‘personal connect’ with the people on ground is complemented by a strong online presence. He is known as India’s most techno-savvy leader, using the web to reach people and bring about change in their lives. He is very active on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Sound Cloud, Linkedin, Weibo and other forums.

Beyond politics, Modi sir enjoys writing. He has authored several books, including poetry. He begins his day with yoga, which centers his body and mind and instills the power of calmness in an otherwise fast-paced routine.

This is the man, an embodiment of courage, compassion and conviction, on whom the nation has bestowed its mandate, trusting that he will rejuvenate India and make it a bright beacon to the world.

Thank you
